Prefinished, decarb free alloy steel offered in either heat treated or annealed connection.

manganese = .70/1.00___molybdenum = .15/.25
phosphorous = 0.35 max.___ silicon= .15/.40
sulfur = .040 max.___ vanadium = .03 min.

4140 annealed
carbon = .38/.43___ chromium = .80/1.10
manganese = .75/1.00___ molybdenum = .15/.25
phosphorous = 0.35 max.___ silicon= .15/.35
sulfur = .040 max.

Specifications:
4140 deluxe is ground top and bottom to .015/.035 over nominal thickness. Patterns are typically plate saw cut to 32" x 144".

This product is stocked for immediate shipment. Items are shipped FOB Springfield, Massachusetts.

All material processing is performed in-house. Your special requirements for thickness, or pattern size can be made to order. (4140 ann. up to 8" finish)
